Oliver Lenaerts has extensive experience in setting-up not-for profit organisations, private foundations or partnerships (“maatschap”) and other estate planning structures for artists and collectors. He also works on behalf of museum on the donation (“schenking”) or consignment (“bruikleen”) of art collections from private clients to museums and among museums. In doing so, he acquired extensive knowledge in the international legal aspects of so-called inbound and outbound consignments and cross-border donations to museums. He complements this expertise with extensive knowledge on the insurance and valuation aspects in relating to complex consignments and on tax aspects in relation to cross-border donations.
